The Challenge
For the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, Laluna Cafe & Brunch invited Bracom Agency to transform the traditional mooncake box into a world of imagination and discovery. A Mid-Autumn packaging experience where architecture, illustration and paper engineering come together to reveal a miniature world suspended between daylight and moonlight.
Strategic Context
Timeless Gate Arc II 2026 is conceived as a mysterious architectural tower, quietly holding a luminous miniature city within. Through its framed windows, recipients are invited to look closer, revealing layered paper scenes inhabited by whimsical feline characters.
Rather than presenting its story at first sight, the packaging unfolds gradually. The restrained navy exterior contrasts with a vivid interior of warm light, curtains and urban silhouettes, turning every opening into a moment of surprise.
A World Between Daylight and Moonlight
The collection explores the shifting atmosphere between day and night. Under daylight, the structure appears sculptural and architectural. At night, its windows glow like small stages, opening onto an imagined city suspended between reality and dreams. Time becomes more than a visual theme, it shapes the mood, emotion and rhythm of the entire experience.
Architecture Made of Paper
The cylindrical form draws inspiration from urban towers, with elongated windows framing the illustrated world inside. Multiple precision-cut paper layers create depth and movement, transforming flat illustrations into miniature theatrical scenes. As the packaging is viewed from different angles, new characters and details gradually emerge.
The interaction continues through the top-mounted handle and the individual mooncake boxes, each carrying its own feline character and architectural vignette. Together, they form connected chapters within one shared universe.
Beyond the Festival
Deep navy papers, metallic accents and warm interior colors create a refined contrast between mystery and illumination. Designed as both packaging and a collectible object, Timeless Gate Arc II remains meaningful long after the mooncakes have been enjoyed, a small city to keep, revisit and imagine.
· Architecture builds the structure.
· Illustration brings the world to life.
· And discovery completes the story.
